Production Time
The production time for a manufacturing process is primarily determined from the cycle time, but must also account for the defect rate, machine uptime, and machines used. Using these parameters, the run quantity, run time, down time, total production time, and production rate (parts/hr) will be calculated. The production time does not include the time for any initial setup or post-processing operations.
Labor Cost
Determine the impact of labor on total production costs and part costs. Labor costs are affected by the production time, labor rate, number of workers, and labor usage. Using these parameters, the total labor cost for production will be calculated, as well as the cost that can be attributed to each part.
Hourly Rate Calculator
Determine the true hourly cost of a machine or a shop activity by accounting for equipment costs, labor, consumables, downtime, overhead, and indirect expenses. The hourly rate calculator computes both a flat hourly cost, and a fully burdened rate if desired, based on financial, operational, and staffing inputs. The widget can be configured to accept machine-related inputs to calculate a machine rate, or have those toggled off to calculate a shop rate.
